The Nocturne Rise desk is built from a rare single slab of mappa burl, selected for its wild grain and striking figure. Unlike most live-edge pieces, the natural edges are preserved on the short sides — a testament to the sheer size of the original tree. This unique orientation creates a clean, straight front and back, ideal for both standalone placement or positioning against a wall.
Its visual appeal is further elevated by a hand-applied gradient finish — a deep black dye fading from the edges into the glowing center — designed to enhance the wood’s natural chatoyance and depth.
This desk is mounted on a premium sit-stand base with programmable height presets. With a satin black finish and a wide adjustable range (22″–46″), the base ensures ergonomic flexibility without compromising visual balance. The desk arrives fully assembled in a protective crate — ready to use straight out of the box.
